Has Your 7th Grader Gotten Their tDap Shot Yet?
Has your 7th grader had their dTap shot?  Our school needs to have a copy of the immunization on file, so if you haven't turned in a copy of the sheet, please have your child bring it to the nurse's office.  The State of Iowa requires all 7th graders born after September 15, 2000, to have the booster "Tdap".  If the child does not receive this vaccine by October 14th, the State of Iowa is enforcing this law, and they will be excluded from school.  For free immunizations, call Polk County Health Department at 515-286-3798.  If you have any questions, feel free to call our school nurse, Regina Ehrlich at 965-9705.

Ankeny's first hosting of the statewide middle school cross country meet deemed a success!:
On Saturday, October 18, a nearly 100-member volunteer crew comprised of Ankeny Centennial High School cross country runners and their families welcomed athletes from all four corners of the state to Ankeny.  The runners came to compete in the Dick Washburn Classic middle school statewide cross country meet.  This is the first year Ankeny has hosted the meet, which is sponsored by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches (IATC).  Read more about the event's success.
